Academy Council

Our Academy Council is made up of members from the local community, parents and staff. Unlike some other academies, we do not have a sponsor and remain entirely independent. The Academy Council is responsible for overseeing the educational direction of the school to ensure all our children achieve as well as they can.

Academy Councilors meet six times a year. All members of the Council are expected to make a formal visit to the school each year to monitor the impact of their decisions and the progress the Headteacher is making towards securing school improvement. All meetings and visits focus on one of three areas: Culture, Children and Community.

In addition to the Academy Council, the Academy Trust has appointed 6 Governors to serve as Company Directors (or trustees). The Board of Directors meet at least once per year for an Annual General Meeting. Please follow the link for more information.
